More Tricks Than a Monkey on 100 Yards of Vine

I did a little drawing during the time I put aside to play Bioshock, like I promised myself. You really know you like your hobby when you do things like that. Anyway, this is a Megan-safe thumbnail of the image I was fooling with.

After this image I've decided to redesign the way I draw feline eyes on my cat characters. No more iris colors filling the entire visible space of the eye, like a real cat. I'm going to go with more of the look the mice have in this image, except with vertical pupils. I need to play aroud with this a little bit and see if my characters come out radically different. Another thing I want to play with is the design of their faces. I may begin to veer away from the rigid design of their cheek sides and move toward a more fluid natural look in them, even if they are something of a trademark, now. It's something that's starting to stand out in contrast to a body that has a more natural fur pattern, and it's something that's bugged me secretly for a while. It's been one of those little things that's almost been religated to holy cow status in my mind, even though I've wanted to go in and kick over a few steers on that subject.

In other news, I've decided to resume my distance from engaging in argumentative confrontations, here. More and more, I'm finding there's one person who isn't really interesting in thinking about anything other than clinging to his own views. People who've known me for longer than four years, know that my mind has changed, adjusted, reformed, and expanded to form conclusions I didn't hold years ago. When good points are made, I cede, readily. When the same points I've refuted with principled answers, are made over and over, I grow frustrated. It's not a frustration I'm going to let myself feel any longer. In the last post, I encountered several such gentlemen. In one instance, a person had been banned as a troll once and went about creating new accounts to slip past and attempt to reform his approach. Anyone who uses the term "meta-scientific principle" is usually just shitting out of their mouth. Another person left a trail of urine all the way to Fur Affinity's chat board to bewail his failure to convince me he has the right to my money, to anyone who may offer a shred of validation from which he can suckle and feel warm. If you geniunely want to ask me something, that's fine. If you want a fight, you aren't going to find one, here. I usually just end up banning hopeless people so I can get back to my work and stop typing.
